本日、ENCEは新たな章の始まりを迎えます。
経営陣と主要株主と共に徹底的な戦略の見直しを行ない、活動の中心を再び母国フィンランドに戻すことを決定しました。
ENCEは創設時から競争力があり持続可能なeスポーツ組織を作り上げることを目指してきました。
これまでの数年間、国際シーンで競い合い、Counter-Strikeの最高レベルに到達することができるロスター構築に多額の投資を行なってきました。
残念ながら、私たちのような組織にとって、現在のeスポーツエコシステムでそのような多額の投資を続けることはますます難しくなっています
そこで、同じ道を歩み続けるのではなく一度リセットし、長期的な視点で新しいものを作り上げることを決めました。
今後目指すところは明確です。フィンランドの才能をコアとするCounter-Strikeチームを再構築し、フィンランドから次世代のスター選手を輩出することです。
原点に戻ることで、ENCEとフィンランドCounter-Strikeコミュニティとのつながりを強化しながら、将来に向けて持続可能なチーム基盤を作り上げることができると信じています。
方針転換に伴い、現在のCounter-Strikeメインチームはコーチングスタッフを含めてベンチに下がり、移籍交渉が可能な状態となりました。
ファンの皆さま、これまでの活動を応援していただきありがとうございました。
変化することは決して簡単ではありません。しかしながら、今回のリセットにより長期的な視点とともに一歩ずつ歩みを進め、再びエキサイティングなチームを作り上げることができると信じています。
ENCEの目標は明確です。フィンランドのCounter-Strikeを再び国際シーンへ復活させることです。
今こそフィンランドCounter-Strikeの新時代、そして新しい#EZ4ENCE世代の始まりという新章の幕を開ける時です。
新章における次の展開については、近い将来に発表予定です。
高騰する選手の給与と激化する獲得競争
現在のCounter-Strike競技シーンは、公式ランキング「Valve Regional Standings」(VRS)を中心とする構造にアップデートされ、高額な賞金がかかった大会が世界中で開催されており、競争が激化しています。
ランキング上位に入るためには優秀な選手の獲得が不可欠です。移籍金や給与は高騰を続けており、資金力に乏しいチームは選手獲得競争に参加することすら難しい状況もあります。
ENCEは、トップクラスのティア1レベルで競技を続けるために有力な選手を獲得するマネーゲームに参加し続けることは難しいと判断し、自国の才能を発掘・育成するというルートで再びトップシーンに返り咲くことを狙うという方針転換を行なったことになります。
今回、ENCEは国際ロスターからフィンランド出身選手を中心とする方針へ転換しましたが、スウェーデンを拠点とするMetizportは、スウェーデン単一ロスターの方針を捨てて国際ロスター化する決断を下しており、真逆の戦略となっています。
現在のENCEは、グローバルランキング52位、ヨーロッパ38位という位置付けです。
