『G2 Esports』は「m0NESY」選手が『Team Falcons』に移籍することを発表した後、AWPerの「hades」選手を『Monte』からレンタル移籍で獲得しました。

hades選手 試合前インタビュー
―― G2 Esportsはhades選手をレンタル移籍で起用しました。G2 Esportsで実力を示すチャンスを得ました。まずお聞きしたいのは、誰が移籍の連絡してきたかということです。この移籍が現実になると思っていましたか？どういう流れで話が進んだのでしょうか？
実は面白い話がありました。兄の家に行っている時にTaZがSteamを通じてメッセージを送ってくれていました。でも家にはいなかったので、そのメッセージに気づかなかったのです。
その後、たしか自分のエージェントが連絡してきてくれて、朝に起こされました。“とんでもない話が来たぞ”と。自分は“何なの？”という感じだったのですけど“G2 Esportsからレンタル移籍のオファーが来ている”ということでした。
“良いね。了解”と答えましたが、正直なところ実際は混乱していました。m0NESYが移籍する可能性があるんだろうなという予想はしていました。結構興味深い展開でした。
―― G2 Esportsに求められたことについて、どのように感じましたか？
正直なところ「特に」という感じでした。ちょっと驚きはありましたが。
G2 Esportsの選手たちとは仲が良くプレースタイルもわかっています。
G2 Esportsにとっては、新たな才能に賭けるよりも、自分のような馴染み深いプレイヤーの方が安全な選択肢だったのではないでしょうか。
―― この状況をどのように感じていますか？m0NESY選手は2024年に世界2位として評価されたプレイヤーです。その穴を埋めることになります。G2 Esportsのプレースタイルに合わせますか？それとも自分のプレーを貫きますか？チームにはどのようなことを求められているのでしょうか？
自分はリラックスしていて、全力を尽くすだけです。
G2 Esportsのメンバーたちが自由にプレーできるようサポートしたいと思っています。自分はやりたいプレーをするタイプですが、味方をサポートするプレーも好きです。練習を重ねて、うまくバランスが取れてきています。自分の動きをする時もありますし、味方をヘルプする場合もあります。いまのところかなり良い感じです。
m0NESY選手になろうとはしていません。自分らしくプレーし、チームメイトたちに合わせたプレーができるように努力しています。
―― それはすばらしいですね。自分を変えずにベストを尽くす。そして試合を支配する。チームとはどのくらいの期間練習をしてきましたか？ブートキャンプは実施しましたか？
ブートキャンプはセルビアで実施しました。1週間以上みっちりと練習してきました。
チームビルディングのアクティビティとして、ペイントボール対戦をしたりすることもありました。
とても楽しくて、みんな本当に良い人たちばかりです。いまのところ、チームにはかなり溶け込めていると感じていて、スムースなスタートを切れていると思います。
―― 最初は「うまくいくかな」というような不安はありましたか？チームにどのように溶け込もうかと考えたりはしましたか？
雰囲気が良くなかったらどうしようというような不安はありました。実際にみんなに会ったらすぐにジョークを言われたり本当に歓迎されていることを感じられて安心しました。
―― 練習はどうでしたか？システムには簡単にフィットすることができましたか？
これまでにやってきたシステムとは少し異なりますが、G2 Esportsのやり方は良いと感じています。スムースに適応できていると思います。
―― 今回のレンタル移籍についてどのような希望を抱いていますか？個人的な目標はありますか？
これから3つのトーナメントに出場予定なので、できれば1つは優勝したいと思っています。自分がティア1で通用するプレイヤーであることを証明したいです。G2 Esportsから継続のオファーがなかったとしても、メジャーの後に良いオファーがあることを期待しています。
―― 今回は自身をアピールする最高のチャンスだと思いますか？
そのとおりです。これまでで、最高のチャンスです。本当にうれしく思っています。
―― 今後の成功と試合での活躍を期待しています。ありがとうございました。
