MaiL09選手は15歳にしてプロチームと契約、『FACEIT Pro League』ヨーロッパ部門で個人成績1位になるなど、次世代を代表するプレイヤーとして期待と注目を集めるスウェーデンのプレイヤーです。

『Metizport』は、スウェーデンチームとして6年ぶりとなるメジャー大会出場を決めたトップチームで、スウェーデン最強チームに同国で最も期待される若手が加入したことになります。

ヨーロッパで最も期待される才能を持つLiam “MaiL09” Tügel選手(16歳)を、『Johnny Speeds』から獲得したことを発表するのを嬉しく思います。

MaiL09は、2021年に12歳でCounter-Strikeのキャリアをスタートし、DreamHack Winter 2021のBYOCトーナメントにて『Goodfellas Evolution』の一員として3位に入賞しました。

1年半後、『GODSENT』のアカデミープロジェクト『Young Gods』に参加し、その1年後にはトップチーム昇格を果たしました。『GODSENT』で半年の活動後、『Johnny Speeds』に移籍して活躍を続け、本日『Metizport』に正式移籍となりました。

MaiL09を獲得することができたのは、4月に『BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025』出場を決めたことに並ぶ2025年のハイライトです。スウェーデン出身の16歳であるMaiL09には驚くほどの注目が集まっており、2025年は国際的なオンライントーナメントで上位入賞を何度も達成するなど、頭角を現わしています。

『Johnny Speeds』の所属は短い期間でしたが、$46,000以上の賞金を獲得してチームに貢献しました。最も注目すべき実績は『Elisa Nordic Championship 2025』3位、『Svenska Elitserien Spring 2025』優勝です。

これほどの才能を持つ選手を獲得するのは、当然ながら容易なことではありませんでした。しかし、『Metizport』には揺るぎないビジョンがあり、移籍を実現させるために全力を尽くしてきました。

スポーツディレクターを担当するMorten “zEVES” Christensenが綿密な交渉を重ね、最終的に『Johnny Speeds』と移籍について合意することができました。秋シーズンの開幕前に『Metizport』にMaiL09を迎えることが出来た事について、大変嬉しく思います。

MaiL09が、メジャー大会前に降下してしまったランキングを引き上げることに貢献してくれることを願っています。

新メンバーMaiL09とJackinho含むスウェーデンの選手のみで構成されたラインナップに新たなMiguel “ner0” Videiraアシスタントコーチも加えた『Metizport』が、世界のCounter-Strikeシーンに大きな影響を与えることができると心から信じています。
