『StarLadder Budapest Major 2025』ステッカーデザインにまつわるエピソード

Counter-Strikeメジャー大会『StarLadder Budapest Major 2025』の出場選手に関連する、ステッカーアイテムのエピソードを紹介します。

ゲーム内ステッカーアイテムについて

メジャー大会では、大会出場チームのロゴ、選手のサインが入ったゲーム内ステッカーアイテムが販売されます。

ステッカーは、ゲーム内の武器に貼り付け可能で好きなチームや選手への応援の気持ちなどを表すことができます。

また、売上の50％が選手本人に配分されます。

デザインはそれぞれ本人が直筆で申請するものになっており、今回も様々な意図を含むステッカーが登場しています。

ropz (Team Vitality)

近年は、「ropz」の「o」と「p」を割れたハートマークで表現するサインを使っていました。

今回から、ハートマークが割れてないデザインに変更されています。

rain (FaZe Clan → 100 Thieves)

rain選手は10年以上FaZe Clanでプレーしてきましたが、チームの方針変更に伴いスターティングメンバーを外れ、100 Thievesへ移籍になりました。

「rain」が新生『100 Thieves』Counter-Strike部門に加入

『StarLadder Budapest Major 2025』には出場しませんが、大会の出場権を獲得した際はスターティングメンバーとして選手登録されていたため、ステッカーを作ってもらう権利を有しています。

「R」部分には、FaZe Clanとして出場できないという何とも言えない気持ちと思われる顔文字が描かれています。

mzinho (The MongolZ) & Bart4k (The Huns Esports)

2人は兄弟で、Bart4k選手が兄、mzinhoが弟とのこと。
お互い、本名とプレイヤーネームを並べた同じステッカーデザインを採用しています。

kl1m (MIBR)

kl1m選手はG2 Esportsのアカデミーチーム所属で、MIBRにレンタル移籍中です。
ステッカーには、アカデミーチームのコーチ LETN1氏の名前が記載されています。
お世話になっている事への感謝の気持ちを表すものとなっています。

「私がメジャー大会に出場してからしばらく経ちます。ローカルチームValianceから始まり、最終的にはCR4ZYとして出場したStarLadder Berlin Major 2019は特別な思い出として心に刻まれています。

献身的な努力により、ライバルチームを倒してメジャーという高みに到達しました。

この2年間ほどは、若い世代がさらに高い目標に到達できることを支援するための取り組みに専念してきました。

その中の1人が、G2 Esportsアカデミーの至宝であるkl1mです。
kl1mは私への敬意として、自身のステッカーデザインに私のニックネームを記載してくれました。ステッカーはCounter-Strikeのゲーム内に永遠に残るものです。

これを見て、さらに懸命に取り組み、新たな世代のプレイヤーを支援し、勝利を一緒に祝いたいという気持ちをかき立てられました。

真ん中の「S」が、書き損じて上書きしたようなデザインになっています。

iM (NAVI)

「BTN」の文字が記載されています。

本人による説明はありませんでしたが、過去に所属していたNexus GamingのCatalin-Ionut “BTN” Stanescu 選手をリスペクトしての表記という可能性が高そうです。
現在も36歳のキャプテンとして現役でプレーしています。

VINI (Imperial Esports)

名前の下にモールス信号が表記されています。

snow (paiN Gaming)

プレイヤーネームに合わせて、「o」が雪(スノー)マークになっています。
※Austin Majorの時からこのデザイン

ちなみに、snow選手はcoldezera選手が憧れのプレイヤーで、「cold」と関連付けて「snow」をニックネームにしたという由来があります。
