FaZe Clanの一時代が終わりを迎えることは胸が張り裂ける思いです。
悲劇的な終わり方で、この数日は感情が揺さぶられる日々でした。

クリエイターとしてだけでなく、1人の人間としても今後の活躍を願っています。
FaZe Clanはいつでも家族のような存在だと感じてきました。
ですから、これからも彼らを無条件に応援し、サポートしていきます。

FaZe eSportsは独立した組織として運営されており、今後も変わりません。

経緯

FaZe Clanは、「GameSquare」に買収された後、以下の2社体制で運営されています。

FaZe Media

2024年4月：FaZe Clan創設者のBanks氏が代表を務め、ブランド・メディア・IPなどの管理を担当する企業として2024年5月に設立。Matt Kalish氏が1,100万ドルを出資しFaZe Mediaの株式49％を保有し取締役就任、GameSquare保有率51％ [公式発表]

主要クリエイターの脱退

今回、主要クリエイター6名が立て続けにFaZe Clan脱退を表明しました。

FaZe MediaのMatt Kalish氏は、コンテンツクリエイターエージェンシーHardScopeの代表を務めています。クリエイターたちは同社との契約を迫られたものの、折り合わなかったことが要因と報じられています。

eスポーツ部門に影響はなし

FaZe Esportsは、GameSquareが株式100％保有して運営されているため、今回のクリエイター離脱による影響はありません。

チーム公式発表にあるとおり、今後のFaZe Clanはeスポーツ展開がメインになっていきます。

現代のeスポーツチームは、強力なクリエイター・インフルエンサーを獲得することで、注目や影響力・発信力を持つことが主流になっています。

FaZe Clanは、その先駆けとも言える存在でしたが、全く異なる新たな展開を歩むことになりました。

『FaZe Clan』のCounter-Strike部門は、今月に開催されたメジャー大会『StarLadder Budapest Major 2025』で準優勝となっています。

メンバーの立て直し、一番最初のステージ1からステージ3を勝ち抜けプレーオフ進出、そして準優勝という快挙でした。
