アメリカを拠点とするeスポーツチーム『Copenhagen Wolves』が、Counter-Strike競技シーンから一時撤退することを発表しました。

- チーム評価としては中堅よりも低い状況
- 撤退の要因は、スポンサー支援がない状態でのチーム維持が難しい状況、成績不振が組み合わさり、将来的な活動方針を明確にできない状態のため
- Counter-Strike部門を一時休止し、今後改めて然るべきタイミングでの再参入を目指す
現在のCounter-Strike競技シーンは、公式ランキング「Valve Regional Standings」の順位を上げない限り、上位大会への出場が叶いません。
実力ある選手を獲得・維持し、成長を続けて行くにはチームの資金力が重要になりますが、成績が伴わない状況で苦しんだ格好となっています。

本日、Copenhagen WolvesはCounter-Strike部門を一時的に休止し、全選手を移籍リスト入りさせることを発表します。
これは簡単な決断ではありませんでした。
選手たちは懸命に努力してきましたが、結果が伴わなかったことは残念ながら事実です。
そして、現在のCounter-Strike 2競技シーンのエコシステム、特にValve Regional Standingsにおいて、小規模なチームが大きな資金援助がない状態で成長を続けていくことは非常に難しい状態です。
日時の経過とともに、前向きな機会を得られる道は狭くなっているように感じています。
そして、成績不振と現在の状況が重なり、長期的な運営計画を立てることが非常に難しくなっています。
Copenhagen WolvesのCounter-Strikeプロジェクトを信じてくれた全ての選手、コーチ、スタッフ、ファンのみなさんに心から感謝しています。みなさんのおかげで、素晴らしいチームを作り上げることができました。そして、Counter-Strikeプロジェクトは完全に終わりを迎えるわけではありません。
いまは一歩下がることを選択し、プロジェクトのプランを再評価しています。
適切なタイミングがやってきた時、Copenhagen Wolvesは復活します
