『Esports World Cup 2026』の賞金総額が、7,500万ドル(約118億円, $1=158.12円)になることが発表されました。

『Esports World Cup』の賞金総額は、下記のように年々増額されています。

この賞金総額について、大会を主催する「Esports World Cup Foundation」のCEOを務めるRalf Reichert氏は、以下のようにコメントしています。

「この人生を変えるほどの賞金総額は、eスポーツの中心にいる人々、つまり選手と、その選手に投資をしているeスポーツクラブを支援するために存在しています。

Esports World Cupが他の大会と異なるのは、クラブチャンピオンシップ制度があるという点です。通常の大会では各タイトルでチャンピオンが決定されますが、Esports World Cupでは複数競技の結果を元にた究極のクラブチャンピオンを決定します。」
