『ESL Pro League Season 25』は、年間を通じて実施される『ESL Pro Tour Counter-Strike』の一部として開催されます。
これまで、『ESL Pro League』はヨーロッパを舞台にオンライン予選・オフラインプレーオフの形式で実施されてきました。
2027年3月の『ESL Pro League Season 25』は、初となるサウジアラビア開催になります。

近年、サウジアラビアは国を挙げてeスポーツに注力しています。
国内に大規模なeスポーツ施設を立ち上げ、この施設を競技場とし高額な賞金がかかる『Esports World Cup』を開催しているほか、本年は国別対抗戦『Esports Nations Cup』を実施予定です。
『ESL Pro League』を主催する「ESL FACEIT Group」は、サウジアラビア「Savvy Gaming Group」に買収されており、『Esports World Cup』の運営等も担当しています。
