『Dota 2』公式大会『The International 2025』で流行した「Helm of the Dominator」ビルドについて調べたことを記録しておきます。
「Helm of the Dominator」とは？
アイテムを合成して「2,550」ゴールドで作ることができ、以下のような能力を持ちます。
ステータスアップ
- 全ステータス +6
- アーマー +6
- HP回復 +6
スキル：Dominate
中立の非Ancientユニットを「移動速度380」「最大HPを最低1,000」として支配しコントロールできるようにする。さらに以下の能力を付与する｡スキルのクールダウン時間45秒。
- 基礎攻撃力 +25
- HP回復 +12
- マナ回復 +4
- アーマー +4
アップデートによる変更
「Helm of the Dominator」は、1年ほどのアップデートの中で使いやすく効果が高いアイテムに調整されてきました。

「Helm of the Dominator」を使う利点
入手までのプレーが安定
- 「Dominate」することで経験値とゴールドを入手できるためファーミング効率アップ
- 合成に必要なアイテムの1つが「Diadem」から「Crown」となり、安価かつ費用対効果が高くファーミングが安定するように
- 「Diadem」1,000ゴールド、全ステータス +6
- 「Crown」450ゴールド、全ステータス +4
ファーミング・プレー効率アップ
- 支配したユニットは攻撃力・体力が高く、中立クリープを狩りやすくなる
- 支配したユニットが持つオーラによって、周辺のキャラがステータスアップを得られる
レーン支配力アップ
- 支配したユニットはHPが1,000以上と堅いため、前に出すことで敵の妨害をしやすい
- 「creep-hero」となったことにより、スキルやアイテムで支配したユニットを一撃キルできなくなったため、敵は対応がしにくい
- 支配ユニットを倒すためにスキルを撃たせたり、攻撃させるなどリソースを吐かせることができる
- アイテム「Hand of Midas」で倒せない
- 「Chen」や「Enchantress」のスキルでユニットを支配仕返すことができない
- スキルを使って倒すことができない (「Mirana」の「Sacred Arrow」や「DOOM」の「Devour」など)
- タワープッシュしやすくなる
- 支配したユニットによる視界確保をしやすくなる
支配したユニットはもう1体のヒーローくらいの価値があり、序盤～中盤くらいのプレーにおいて大きなプラス要素となります。
『The International 2025』では、「Mid」「Carry」「Offlane」「Support」の各ロールがそれぞれ「Helm of the Dominator」を購入するようなシーンもありました。
考えられるデメリット
- 後半になると効果がそれほど高いアイテムではなくなる
- 支配ユニットを倒されると、敵側に多くのゴールドや経験値がわたる
- 複数ユニットを操作・管理する必要がある
「Helm of the Dominator」を使って序盤に有利を作れないと、後半に敵が育ったりアイテムがそろった場合に厳しい状況になってしまうケースがあります。
優勝した「Team Falcons」は「Helm of the Dominator」ビルドをほぼ使用せず
本大会では、多くのチームが「Helm of the Dominator」ビルドを導入していました。
