3Dモデルでゲーミングマウス比較できるサイト『FindMyMouse』が正式公開されました。
FindMyMouse について
『FindMyMouse』は、3Dモデルを使ってゲーミングマウスの形状やスペックを比較できるサイトです。
3Dモデルは製品の見た目そのままに取り込まれており、マウスパッドに置かれた状態で回転させながら比較することができます。複数の比較はもちろん、単体での確認も可能となっています。
サイトオーナーのbardOZ氏は、元AimlabsのCTOを務め、Counter-StrikeやVALORANTのセミプロとして活躍した人物です。

EloShapes、3Dモデル機能リリースおめでとうございます！
時を同じくして、「findmymouse.com」もベータ版を終了し一般公開となりました。
EloShapesが3Dスキャンの取り組みを開始したことで、『FindMyMouse』はどうするつもりなのかと多くの質問をいただいたのですが、何も変わりません！
競争があるのは良いことだと思っています。私はゲーミングマウスマニアでEloShapesを長年愛用しているので、いちユーザーとして比較サイトの選択肢が増えるのはうれしいことです。
ただ、自分が『FindMyMouse』で実現したいビジョンと『EloShapes』の目指すところはまったく異なっていると考えています。『FindMyMouse』のドメインは何年も前から取得していて、これまで作ってきたものよりもはるかに大きなプラットフォームにしていく構想を持っています。
3Dスキャンはそのビジョンを実現するために必要なステップであり、ゴールではありません。最初からその考え方でした。
現在は、毎日フルカラーでのマウス3Dスキャン作業を1日あたり少なくとも5台のペースで進めています。このペースを維持していけば、ユーザーが求めるマウスのほぼすべてを数ヶ月以内にほとんど網羅できると考えています。
この数日で追加したマウスの3Dモデルは、すべてテクスチャなので、ぜひこの投稿の動画で確認してください。
『FindMyMouse』は、以前から説明しているバーチャルな手やグリップの機能に加えて、ゲーミングマウス版『MyAnimeList』のようなサービスを目指しています。
例えば、「https://findmymouse.com/u/bardoz」のようなプロフィールから自分で作ったマウスリストを確認できるようにし、さらに好みに合うマウスを提案できるような機能を考えています。
